Glubran 2 Synthetic Surgical Glue - Fibrin Glue for Breast Surgery

Glubran 2 is a Class III synthetic surgical tissue glue / Fibrin Glue manufactured by GEM S.r.l. in Italy, available in Pakistan from National Enterprises, GEM’s authorized distributor. In theatre it’s usually just called surgical glue or tissue adhesive rather than by its brand name.

It uses NBCA-MS co-monomer technology to provide hemostasis, tissue sealing, and a protective antiseptic barrier at minor surgical sites. Used for interventions, laparoscopic procedures, pediatric surgery, or localized tissue sealing. On contact with tissue it polymerizes into a thin, flexible, impermeable film within seconds.

Description

Glubran 2 (0.5 ML) is a Class III synthetic surgical tissue glue manufactured by GEM S.r.l. in Italy. It utilizes the same advanced NBCA-MS co-monomer technology as the 1 ML version, designed to provide hemostasis, tissue sealing, and liquid embolization. The 0.5 ML volume is highly cost-effective and perfectly sized for smaller surgical interventions, laparoscopic procedures, pediatric surgeries, or localized tissue sealing. Upon contact with live tissue, it polymerizes into a thin, flexible, and impermeable film within seconds. The cured film exhibits a low polymerization temperature of 45°C, ensuring patient comfort and safety. It acts as a strong barrier against surgical site infections while naturally undergoing gradual hydrolytic resorption.

Key Features & Clinical Benefits

  • Formulated with GEM’s proprietary NBCA-MS co-monomer technology.
  • 0.5 ML volume, ideal for localized applications and pediatric surgeries.
