Description
The evonos evoDrill Single-Use Cranial Perforator (11/14 mm) is designed for safe and efficient skull drilling during neurosurgical trepanation. It features an outer cutting diameter of 14 mm and an inner cutting diameter of 11 mm, indicated for cranial bone thicknesses of 3 mm and above. Engineered for working comfort, the perforator features a unique cutting edge geometry that requires significantly less physical force than standard drills. A built-in positioning tip at the point prevents slipping, ensuring the perforator stays exactly where drilling begins. For patient safety, the evoDrill is equipped with a mechanical auto-stop function. The cutting force is applied by the outer edges rather than the tip; when the bone is pierced, the pressure drop on the tip instantly activates the auto-stop mechanism, eliminating the risk of damaging the underlying dura mater. Since it is designed for single-use, it is always sharp, sterile, and ready, eliminating sterilization and sharpening costs. The perforator uses the standard Hudson coupling, with adapters available for other chuck types.
