Saugermed Viscose Soft Brain Patties (manufactured by Medikokim, Turkey) are high-performance absorbable patties designed specifically for neurosurgical procedures. Made of a premium blend of viscose and synthetic additive fibers, these patties feature an absorption capacity of 8 to 11 times their weight, allowing efficient fluid uptake (CSF and blood) from the surgical field. The patties are engineered with a smooth, silky structure that is completely unfuzzy and unfeathered, ensuring they leave no lint or loose fibers in the delicate brain tissue. Each patty is equipped with a radio-opaque blue strap, making it easily detectable under X-ray. A key feature is the patented trace rope loop system, which secures the retrieval thread to the pad without inducing deformation or distention under tension. The product is supplied sterile in a Tyvek pouch containing an anti-contamination bag and a special counter card numbered 1 to 10 to help the surgical team keep an accurate count of pads used.
