Description
The HP-BIO Free Flow External Ventricular Drainage (EVD) System (REF# DVEAF35) is indicated to reduce and temporarily control intracranial pressure (ICP) by draining cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) to an external collecting bag. This comprehensive system is engineered for maximum safety and clinical efficiency. It features an innovative mobile burette with a quick-clearing dome that immediately unblocks wetted filters, resolving flow interruptions instantly. A built-in level marker, combined with a Class II laser point pen holder, allows clinicians to align the graduated pressure scale precisely with the patient’s external auditory canal (the ‘zero point’). The system includes an anti-reflux valve with extra-low opening pressure to prevent backflow without increasing drainage resistance, needleless sampling ports (Y-valves) to prevent leaks and infection, and a 700 ml graduated drainage bag. The system is supplied with a 35 cm adult ventricular catheter (3.0 mm external diameter, 1.6 mm internal diameter) made of medical silicone with radiopaque markings.
